A centre of Islamic learning and practice for Ilford since 1978, and a place where everyone is welcome.
Our story
The Ilford Muslim Society was formed in 1978 and is a registered charity (no. 293023). In 1986 the Society bought the building that became Masjid-e-Da'watul Islam, known locally as Balfour Road Masjid.
Our aim is to advance the Islamic faith through spiritual, educational and social services. We want the masjid to be a centre of excellence for Islamic learning and practice, and a welcoming place for people of other faiths who want to learn about Islam.
